Q: Bootable installer for OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

Hi,

I would like to create a bootable installer USB drive for OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 but the Terminal is refusing my Password. How can be solved this problem. Is there somebody who could help?

A:

Instead of using a Terminal command, I'd suggest you to use an app with a proper user interface such as DiskMaker X. Check that it accepts your administrator password.

If you're not logged in with an administrator account, switch to one. If you are, keep typing your password even though nothing's being displayed in response to it.

Hi Niel,

Thanks for your support. In spite of I was using the administrator account, Terminal didn't accepted 3x my password.
What els could be done in this case?

Hi Niel,
I was typing my password, only the following words being displayed in response to it: Sorry, try again
sudo: 3 incorrect password attempts.
