We stumbled upon "fstab", but this is generic and not account specific, is it?

I have now solved the issue with permissions removing the Staff-group and denying access to "All others"… following basic ideas described here e.g.: http://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-secure-files-from-other-users-on-external-disk s/
Hope i am not missing anything like closing myself out in case of a stolen machine, a new user account, etc…
