iphone 4s itunes restore error "-1"

Question

iphone 4s itunes restore error "-1"

I got iphone 4s from my cousin,so when i tried to restore it using the phone,the phone got stuck,then i tried to restore it using the itunes which i made sure is upgraded to the latest version and i also downloaded the latest ios version,i tried both with 8.3 and 8.4.1 but both times nothing.I'm now stuck at error "-1" and in a recovery loop.Its been a week i have been trying different techniques and feeling very frustrated,plz help.I have already posted this in software update community but no luck as no one even answered.Does no one know about "error -1" like everyone else on the internet,this developer forum is my last option,plz guys i need your help

I already tried restoring through DFU mode but still the same "error -1"

apple is no more the company it used to be, i mean their own website even doesnt answer if its a software or hardware problem,yet their itunes bounces out the same error again and again.I guess i will move on to HTC or Samsung or anything but apple.

Actually, they do tell you that... You just have to take 20 seconds to find it.

i do know that this is just a forum,not Apple Care support but that doesnt solve my problem too. I posted this error in other apple forums but no luck,actually i am still confused as some say this is software issue and some say that its hardware issue,i already googled and tried everything except for the heating technique,i would really appreciate if you could point me to the right direction

And if you spent an additional 30 seconds using Google, you would find out that they are the same thing.

It's a hardware problem. Make an appointment at the genius bar and get the phone replaced. Or not. I really don't care at this point.
