Hi, when i try to update itunes 12.1.2 to 12.2, and then i restarted my computer, itunes 12.2 wasnt installed. i used apple software update to do this, but it wont install 12.2. can you please help? 😢

The last version of iTunes to support Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista is iTunes 12.1.2.27.

okay. i just needed the latest version of itunes to work better with my devices. i currently have itunes 9.2.1 installed, maybe 12.1.2 will work fine for me 😝
If it isn't too late you should probably not update iOS devices beyond 8.3. I think iOS 8.4 may require iTunes 12.2 or later.

Ah, it might be that 8.4.1 locks you out of anything earlier. There was a slew of updates recently.
