2014 Macbook Pro Retina and 4K tv as monitor blurry text

I just connected my 2014 Retina 15" Macbook Pro with an HDMI cable to my new 4K Changhong 42" TV. Text is extremely blurry on the 4K resolution. I have tried all settings on the TV and nothing improves the issue. I downloaded switchers control and tried all settings, 1080p works fine but it is too big. Anytime I go to 4K the text is fuzzy. , almost like double vision. Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Dan

This issue can be caused by setting the wrong color space on a display connected via the HDMI port. If the display has a built-in menu for color settings, select

Input Color Format

or perhaps

RGB

from that menu. Note that this is a setting on the display, not on the computer.

Otherwise, check the display manufacturer's website for more information, such as a ColorSync profile that you can use to override the built-in one.

Failing that, use a Thunderbolt adapter to connect the display, if applicable.
