Aug 16, 2015 7:18 PM in response to MettenFamby Loner T,You have not done anything wrong. The problem is related to an Apple-supplied river called AppleSSD>sys which is unsigned. IN the USB installer, remove the directory called AppleSSD under $WinPEDriver$ folder, and re-insert your USB, power down/up you Mac and hold the Alt/Option key and choose the USB Windows and install Windows.

Aug 17, 2015 3:18 PM in response to Loner Tby MettenFam,Still not working. Ive done some other stuff, downloaded the recomended boot files from the apple support page, which got me further. I now get fully into windows, through the setup and actually into the desktop. However the computer doesnt recognize I have the flashdrive plugged in and so it cant download the support software leading to a whole host of issues. Any ideas on that?
Your other help has been much appreciated by the way. Thank you so much.

Aug 17, 2015 3:24 PM in response to MettenFamby Loner T,1. Check that your USB drive is a USB2 flash drive. USB3 disk do not work. These should be directly connected to the Mac.
2. Are you still trying to upgrade in-place from W7 to W10?
3. Is your USB built using BCA and W10 ISO?

Aug 18, 2015 9:19 AM in response to Loner Tby MettenFam,I did and am met with the same result. It doesn't recognize anything plugged into the usb ports, cannot connect to the internet, and there is a red light coming out of the head phone jack (if those facts make any difference).

Aug 23, 2015 11:15 AM in response to Loner Tby Stevo_87,I Was having the exact same problem. I've moved that file on the usb as you stated above which seems to have worked as windows 7 is now installed. The problem now is that the drivers don't seem to I've installed. The wifi, USB ports etc don't work. I don't suppose you have a solution to resolve this as well?

Aug 23, 2015 11:35 AM in response to Stevo_87by Loner T,If no peripheral devices work, you can download Paragon NTFS for Mac trial version and get read-write access to the NTFS partition and put the drivers as appropriate for your Mac from System requirements to install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support . My example shows the 5.1.5621 which is appropriate for my specific Mac, your may be different.
