Aperture 3.0 - map with GPS location is missing?

The "map" was functioning one time, but went to use it again (after the last update) and the map doesn't show up.

This problem has been going on for at least a month and reported by several users of older Aperture 3 versions. The maps do no longer appear in the Aperture versions that are still using Google Maps. The map servers for these maps seem to be down. In Aperture 3.5.1 and Aperture 3.6 the maps are working. These versions are using the Apple maps.

Try to update MacOS X 10.10.4 and Aperture to get the maps working again.

Updating Aperture is difficult, because Apple stopped selling Aperture from the App Store. See: Updating to Aperture 3.6 After the Release of Photos
