I had the same issue after I started using a 3rd-party usb cable. Once I switched back to an Apple original usb cable the problem was resolved.

Why are you asking a Windows question in an Apple help forum? You will have to provide much more information if you want assistance.

This question can be raised by someone who owns an Apple iPhone but is using a Windows PC to connect with iTunes.

Of course it can but the OP did not say he is having problems connecting his iPhone to his Windows computer. He said he is having trouble connecting USB devices to his computer. Windows users connect USB devices as well. Until the OP posts additional information we can not help. Hence the question why he is asking a Windows question in this Apple forum. Hopefully the question will prompt the OP to post additional information that will allow us to help him.
