Q: my iphone is not responding, hard reset is not working, but phone is still on. what happened?

I see from your post that the screen on your iPhone is completely dark, but vibration and calling still functions. If the screen is completely black, please follow the steps outlined below.
If you see a solid color screen (black, white, or blue)
- Plug in your device to a power source. If you see the low-battery screen when you plug in, let your device charge for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes for iPad) before using it.
- Force restart your device while it's plugged in.
- If this doesn't work, restore your device.
- If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.
