After downloading this update I can no longer open I Photo app Should I delete update because therer is no I Photo update available?

For OS X 10.10.5 you must have iPhoto version 9.6.1 - if you do not keep your software up to date see Can't Update iPhoto because it is not available in the App Store

and of course you now have Photos in addition to iPhoto and and switch to it
