why is there no light on my apple tv unit?

I am trying to restore my apple tv gen3 through my computer after it crashed but the is no light on the unit and my computer will not recognise the unit through the micro-usb cable. My computer found it earlier and started restoring it and said it had restored it but now there is no light or anything.

can any one help?
