Aug 24, 2015 2:09 PM in response to biggles6084by biggles6084,I have successfully updated my Mac Book Pro (2015) to windows 10. I was waiting for the Boot Camp 6 update it did not show up so I updated anyway.
No USB sticks etc. Used the windows update in the corner of the desktop. Everything worked fine and everything is work great. For windows to be this smooth was amazing.
As soon as it all installed I tried the apple update within windows and there was the Boot Camp 6 that I had been waiting for. I ran the update and everything was fine. I lost no data and I did not need to reinstall any programs.
If you have a virus checker like Norton. Make sure you turn it off before you update.
I hope this is helpful.

Aug 24, 2015 2:41 PM in response to bstill33by Loner T,Can you install https://github.com/timsutton/brigadier and use the -m qualifier with Mac model identifier and check Bootcamp.xml?
Can you also verify that you meet Requirements for Software Update Service - Apple Support ?

Sep 10, 2015 2:55 AM in response to Spediteurby lilonders,I am having exactly the same issue as Spediteur - no updated bootcamp available in osx nor windows 10 and unable to backup windows using the inbuilt function. I don't know when or why this became so hard, but it's just cemented my resolve to never purchase another apple product - just waiting for this macbook to die so I can upgrade to a cheaper windows machine again.

Sep 10, 2015 3:49 AM in response to lilondersby Lexiepex,Im so many threads here is already explained that "bootcamp 6" is just a set of drivers, not the application, downloadable (when necessary only) from W10 partition.

This is not meant to dissuade you from ditching Apple products, but please see Direct download of Boot Camp 6 drivers .

Sep 13, 2015 3:54 AM in response to Loner Tby lilonders,Thanks for the reply Loner T. Don't worry, I'm not dissuaded.
The 'direct download...' link you provided just highlights the problem so many of us seem to be encountering - no "DIRECT LINK FOR THOSE DRIVERS?!?!?!?!?!?!?" - which would solve the issue of the Windows Apple Software Update not providing the bootcamp 6 update but still providing other updates. The fix suggested is installing third party applications to install apple software and drivers on an apple machine ***? Whatever happened to 'it just works'.

Sep 13, 2015 5:57 AM in response to lilondersby Loner T,BC Assistant will provide drivers on the OS X side, as long as there is reliable connectivity to Apple CDN.
Beginning with W10, Apple Software Update functions similarly to BC Assistant.
If neither option works, then the third-party tool (brigadier) is an option. I primarily use it to get drivers for Mac models, which I may not have, in order to test and validate the packages.

Feb 14, 2016 8:56 AM in response to Loner Tby softhive,I have uninstalled the Apple Multi-Touch Pro (9/08/2015 6.0.6200.0) driver from my Win10. Where can I download it again? The Apple Software Update doesn't show me the option to re-download the "Boot Camp 6 Update for Windows..." after I have already installed it.
Could someone having installed this driver be kind to upload the "c:\windows\system32\DriverStore\FileRepository\applemtp64.inf_*" folders to rghost.net (for eg.) and put a link here so I can download it?
Thanks.

Feb 14, 2016 9:16 AM in response to softhiveby Loner T,You can get it directly using OS X BCA.
If you want be more specific than BCA, use https://github.com/timsutton/brigadier and use the -m and -p qualifiers respectively.

Feb 14, 2016 2:18 PM in response to Loner Tby softhive,That ways I can download just full BCA 6 installation with Apple Multi-Touch (03/30/2015 5.1.5900.0) driver, but not the Apple Multi-Touch Pro (9/08/2015 6.0.6200.0)..Last one that I'm looking can be downloaded this way only once.
Could you having installed this driver be kind to attach the "c:\windows\system32\DriverStore\FileRepository\applemtp64.inf_*" folders in reply so I can download it?
