Mail app opens, no mail is shown

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like the Mail app opens but does not show any mail. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

1. Check your email settings.
2. Restart your iOS device.
3. Remove the affected email account from your device with these steps:
   1. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
   2. Tap the email account.
   3. Tap Delete Account.
   4. Add your account again.

I have this same problem, started 4 or 5 days ago. Mail works fine on iphone & mac.

Having the same problem as Theresa 388. Your directions didn't work for me either :-/. I'm volunteering overseas for 6 weeks & need my email access.

I downloaded the yahoo mail app for my ipad, since i'm getting no help or response from apple support.

No problem w/mail on my iphone & mac....
