citrix handshake fail Yosemite

Using OS 10.10.4 and trying to connect to a remote citrix server using Safari 8.07.

I downloaded the latest citrix receiver for mac (12.0.0)

I can login to the citrix environment but when I try to open an application (by double clicking the icon it shows me) , I get:

The remote SSL peer sent a handshake failure alert.

After a pile of googling I came up with the possibility that Citrix may only accept TLSv1, though I don't know how I would change the system default anyway.

Setting up the receiver log yielded nothing useful:

2015-08-17 12:26:37.582 ThreadID:	1 +Gen_Utilities::GetClientName()
2015-08-17 12:26:37.583 ThreadID:	1 -Gen_Utilities::GetClientName(Titanium II)

Anyone have some insight into a solution?

FWIW: downgrading to Citrix 11.9.15 fixed this for me.

Thank you so much! I had been searching the internet for what felt like days before I came across your (so very simple) solution. Downloading the earlier version of Citrix for mac (11.9.15) fixed this issue for me as well. So thanks again!

Hi,

I tried downgrading to 11.9.15 but the error message comes up thwart ssl ca - G2 not trusted comes up. When I upgrade again to 12, the handshake error returns. Any help would be most appreciated. Many Thanks

Hi,

I uninstalled 12 and reinstalled 11.9.15 but the error message comes up thawte ssl ca - G2 not trusted. When I uninstall and go back to version 12, the handshake error returns. Any help would be most appreciated. Many Thanks

I also have this issue. I downloaded 11.9.15 but I'm still getting the SSL handshake error. Interestingly SAP will come up but our Desktop won't.

Has anyone else had any ideas ?
