But since Photos is currently missing a number of organizational tools that iPhoto has you might want to keep it until you're sure Photos will do the job for you. Since the Photos library doesn't take up the same amount of space as the iPhoto library due to the use of hard links

You can continue to use both for a while until you're sure about Photos.
