4s loaded iOS 8.4.1 and lost contacts

After loading iOS 8.4.1 on my iPhone 4s I lost all my contacts and cannot re-load. Clicking on GROUPS gets message no contacts

iMac (24-inch Early 2009), Mac OS X (10.7.4)
