iBooks

Q: Can anyone tell me where I can find older apps for 4th Gen Ipod Touch?

I did a reset on my iPod Touch and lost some of my apps. The new ones are for higher OS than what my is. Mine is OS 6.1.

The app i need is for Audible audio books and iBooks from iTunes. I have searched the App Store on iTunes and the OS 7 is all I found.

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.4

Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

Try to Google the app you need in Safari and click the link. App Store will open saying something like "iOS on your device doesn't support the latest version of the app, but you can download the last compatible version."

Unless these instructions work for you, nowhere. If you haven't previously downloaded a given application with your Apple ID, go to a computer or compatible iOS device and do so first.
