how do i fix my ipod 5

a while back I dropped my iPod a lot then the screen pixelated and went faulty so I had it fixed now after I had it fixed for some reason I changed my password now I didn't remember it so tried so many hacks and then I decided to restore it when I did it said restore or update and I chose update but after it updated it needed a password to confirm it so I tried and tried then I got locked out and it said connect to iTunes but I didn't have my computer at the time so I left, it last night I grabbed it back out of its draw and it said it needed to be charged so I left and the screen was blank didn't even turn on so I held the power and home button and it showed the apple logo but then went back to a black screen I tried holding the home and power but this time nothing is coming up

Restore using recovery mode

If you've never synced with iTunes or set up Find My iPhone in iCloud, you'll need to use recovery mode to restore your device. This will erase the device and its passcode.

Connect your iOS device to your computer and open iTunes. If you don't have a computer, borrow one from a friend, or go to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.
While your device is connected, force restart it: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. Don't let go when you see the Apple logo — keep holding until you see the recovery mode screen.
When you see the option to Restore or Update, choose Restore.

iTunes will download software for your device. If it takes more than 15 minutes, your device will exit recovery mode and you'll need to repeat steps 2 and 3.
Wait for the process to finish. Then you can set up and use your device.
