can you partition a 1 tb fusion drive and still retain fusion capability ?

I am looking at a new Mac Mini with the 1tb fusion drive . I know how these work and both drive IDs have to be in the software to work .
So if you partition the 1 tb , to say 3 partitions , does it retain Fusion capability as the drive IDs change ?
Just wondering before I buy one ,as I like Time Machine in its own partition .
Thanks Geoff .

Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

You can create one partition on the rotating HD

My only concern is that you also stated " I like Time Machine in its own partition ". But your TM backup on your fusion drive is realyy worthless since if anything happens to the rotating drive for the fusion drive the TM drive/partition as well as the entire fusion drive is lost.
