How much does Apple charge to get out of recovery mode without warranty

You can get it out of Recovery Mode yourself:
But if you make a Genius Bar appointment and take it in, they won't charge you anything to help you get it sorted.

I have tried to restore it on iTunes but it doesn't let me it keeps saying "IPhone couldn't connect to software" something like that & how do I do a genius bar ?
You don't indicate whether you have a Mac or a PC so here are two troubleshooting links for when your device is not recognized by iTunes:
