Q: Podcast app missing from phone

I had exactly the same problem too.  After upgrading to iOS 9.0, the podcast app is still missing.  

Any suggestion ?

Or is this a bug ?

I do not see any resolution to this. I am having the same problem. Is there a fix?

I am having the exact problem on both my iPhone 6 and my iPad.

Same here. Weird thing is, I got a new iphone SE and the podcasts app was on there and worked great - until I synced my phone and put all my stuff on it. Now I can see my podcasts listed in spotlight search, but tapping on them does nothing but freeze the phone. I am also unable to find/open the app, even from the App store.

This is a brand new phone and this is ridiculous.

The Podcasts app can't be deleted, so it's still on the iPhone somewhere.

Check Settings > General > Restrictions > to see if somehow it's restricted. That would hide it from view.

The restrictions are turned off. The podcast app is not showing anywhere, not in Spotlight search, not in App Store.

If you are on iOS 8, you might want to update to iOS 9.

Since the Podcasts app is part of the system install, doing that will re-install it.

The problem for me was in the restrictions.  If a restriction is turned on, I took it that the app was restricted.  I had it turned off, which actually meant the app was turned off or not available for use.
