install office mac 2011

Hi,

I have the 'office:mac2011 home & students' family pack for 3 users with a cd to install the application and still have the possibility to install it on one computer ( so far only installed on 2 macbook pro ).

The new computer we want to buy is the macbook pro with retina display which of course does not have the possibility to insert a cd.

I was wondering if here is a possibility to install (use my cd without of course inserting the cd) the application on the new mac.

Maybe there is a link where we have to give the product key and download without inserting the cd.

All information is welcome.

Unfortunately, you cannot redownload Office 2011 for Mac if you purchased it in a DVD, but you have two possibilities to install Office on your new MacBook:

  1. Get an external DVD drive (the fastest one), or;
  2. Use Remote Disc if one of the other Macs have got a DVD drive.

Try using Remote Disc to install Office, although the installation may take a bit more than usual.
