App Store tabs blank except for Purchased items iOS 8.4.1

All of a sudden last week my App Store tabs stopped displaying, all are blank except for my Purchased page. I've looked up and tried most of the resolutions I've found on this topic: hard reset, shut down/restart, log out of Apple ID-restart phone-sign into Apple ID, total reset and restore of my phone.

I'm out of ideas at this point, very frustrated, and hoping to hear from others who've tried something other then the methods above that didn't work for me. I really don't want to have to set up my phone from a full reset and NOT restore it - talk about painful.

Im having this issue too and like you, I've tried every suggestion I can find. Nothing works. its very frustrating.

Even more infuriating, this happened also to my iPod Touch (most recent gen).

The only resolution for me was to reset my iPhone and set it up as new. This is unacceptable to me, but I had to in order to get the functionality back.

But first I wrote down all the folders I'd created on my phone desktop, and then what I had in each folder so I could set it all up again. Talk about painful. Just DO NOT restore from a previous backup; it only carries over the issue.

I sure hope Apple fixes this. So far my iPads have not been affected and they are on build 8.4.1. This seems specific to the iPhone.

Like you, I had the same issues on both my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6 after updating to 8.4.1. The store pages were blank, music streaming stopped working at random, videos wouldn't download or play, in-app purchase attempts failed or would hang indefinitely, and bizarrely, the Settings app would lock up when I tried to access the Music setting. Rebooting my device or resetting network settings would help for a while, but inevitably the issue would return.

Here's what fixed it for me. Reboot your device. Open Settings->Music and turn off Show Apple Music. Leave all other settings as-is. This worked on both of my devices. Everything has worked great since.

If you are an Apple music subscriber it will cripple your experience somewhat as the music app won't show the New or For You tabs. However, you'll still have access to your playlists, and you can still search and play any song in Apple's catalog through the Radio tab and even add them to your music library.You just won't have some of the fancy do-dads.

I'm guessing this will all be resolved in iOS 9. In the meantime, hope this helps.

Thanks for the input, fxJedi. I have Apple Music turned off, so that wasn't my issue but I certainly hope it helps others.

And I also believe this issue came up before the 8.4.1 update. I recall hoping that 8.4.1 would fix it. I just can't recall which version - the last, or second to last - was the culprit.

Nonetheless, all rather annoying ... and now my iPhone is one of the serial number sets that has the fuzzy photo issue. <sigh>.
