Cannot import video?

Hey I recently downloaded a video from google videos, which by the way took 2 hrs, and I tried to add it to my library and it said it could not be imported because it is not a valid export file. Can anyone help me out?

If you read here (in iPod 101), it says:

...You can copy movies you already have on your computer to your iPod—as long as they're in .m4v, .mp4, or .mov file format.

".gvi" isn't one of the types of files listed as compatible with an iPod.

You could use a third-party program (iTunes and Quicktime don't convert muxed videos into another format properly for a Fifth Generation iPod; the audio in the video file will not be heard) to convert this video to an appropriate format.

If you Google for "program video converter Windows" or similar to that, you should turn up some third-party programs that can convert video files for you.

For example, Videora, or ImTOO may suit you well for this.

I hope that helps you,
