Q: Itunes updated and lost my playlists.
I can't sync my IPOD because ITunes will wipe it and replace it with the current library...which does not include (all) my playlists. This is BEYOND aggravating because I need to update my IPOD NOW in order to have the new tunes I just bought on it for a trip that start early TOMORROW morning.
When I first discovered my playlists were missing, I also realized my ICloud account had expired. At that time, ALL of my playlists were missing. A day or two later, when I had a little time to try to fix things, I decided to go ahead and renew by ICloud account. Then, PRESTO...just like that, SOME of my playlists reappeared. Maybe it's just my imagination but it kinda looks like Apple is playing some games here. Hide the customer's playlists or some other feature of Itunes until he renews his (100% optional) ICloud account. Nevertheless, I've paid my money but only got back SOME of my playlists. AND, I bought new songs since the last time I synced my IPOD. I'd LIKE to be able to actually LISTEN to the now. But I need to get them from my computer to my IPOD. BUT....if I sync, I'll lose the playlists from my IPOD and THAT would make it almost IMPOSSIBLE to use since I'd have to scroll through 1500 songs to find the one I want to hear.
What is the solution here?????
And, PLEASE don't respond with some over-the-top technical gibberish. I don't have a degree in computer programming. I'm just a common, everyday person.
