Bluetooth devices become unresponsive..... article.... advises to shutdown Mac and unplug UBS devices for 2 minutes and then restart. Well, I don't have any UBS devices ever plugged-in in the first place. So that is obviously not the problem. -

If your Wi-Fi is capable of generating a 5 GHz signal, try that.

I've had this mac for 3 years now and yes, this ghost of a problem developed after about year one. So it worked okay for about one year. And no, I have not added any new Bluetooth devices in that time frame. Just the same keyboard and mouse that came with the system. Thanks for your input. Myron

Thanks Eric...... not sure if my WiFi can generate a 5 GHz or not. Centurylink provider and actiontec C1000A modem. Single family home, large lot and no other devices so there shouldn't really be an interference problem. -
