Q: I'm In Bootcamp ****!

I imagine this might sound like a silly question but, is it possible to squeeze a 4.75gb .iso onto a 4.7gb dvd?

I'm having a complete meltdown with trying to install Windows 8.1 using Bootcamp.. I've tried every option available to me - well, the ones I felt comfortable attempting myself anyway), and have read that the problem is that my particular machine (Mid-2010 15" MacBook Pro i7 2.66) can't, or won't boot from the USB?

The USB I am using is a SanDisk Cruzer Blade 64gb.. it's USB2.0.

I've also gone down the route of trying (and failing) to install Windows 7 only to get a black screen and the words:

'No Bootable Device -- Insert Boot Disk And Press Any Key _'

I'm at my wits end. If there is anyone out there that could help solve my problems with this I will give a million pounds [this is sadly not true].
