Q: Apple Watch not recording Indoor Walk
Trying to get 30 mins of exercise per day in order to complete the green ring. Outdoor walk works fine. I average A BPM of 112. Before bad weather rolled in tonight I had 19 out 30 mins complete. Hopped on treadmill in the hous set goal to 30 min Indoor Walk. On the treadmill, I set the heart rate goal to 117 BPM and maintained it for 30 mins but the watch showed no new credit. In fact, out of three separate tries at indoor work I have received no credit. The sensor seems to work fine since I do get credit outside. Help..

Apple is reportedly aware of and working to rectify an issue with data recording for the "Indoor Walk" activity in the Workout app.
In the meantime, you can achieve Exercise ring credit for indoor walks by choosing "Other" as your activity.
More generally, activity needs to be above a "brisk walk" - with a sustained increase in heart rate for at least 1 minute - in order for the Exercise ring to record credit. The definition of a brisk walk depends on your personal data.
You can also improve the accuracy of activity-related estimates by calibrating Apple Watch (taking your iPhone with you during outdoor walks or runs, connected to your Apple Watch and with Location Services enabled - detailed instructions via the link below).
