Q: syncing to computer issues

attempting to sync my new iPhone 6 to iTunes. Continue to get a pop-up warning that my computer is not authorized. Do the "store", "authorize this computer", put in my apple ID and get a conformation message that my computer is authorized. Go back to iTunes and attempt to sync but get the same message saying that my computer is not authorized.  Troubleshooting: restart computer and iPhone but get the same message. I must be missing something. PS( I am able to backup on both iCloud and Computer with no warnings.) Have not tried any kind of "reset" in fear of not knowing what the results will be to my phone. Any advice on being able to sync? Thanks

iPhone 6, iOS 8.4.1

I'll will help you, give me a second.  Ok, lets start here.  Do you have a PC or a Mac?  Try this first:

Disconnect your iPhone from the computer.

In iTunes on PC/Mac, click Edit, Preferences (PC) or iTunes, Preferences (Mac)

    Click on the Advanced tab

Click on the Reset Warnings button

If the message you are getting is that the computer is not "recognized" (different than "authorized") then try this:

iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support

If you don't see your connected device in iTunes for Mac - Apple Support

Post back with more details as there are lots of things that could be off.

Thank you for your help, however, I am still not able to sync after completing the steps you suggested. Let me go over what I did in more detail.

    I use a Mac.

After connecting my iPhone 6 the auto sync starts. Before it finishes I get a pop-up message saying:

"The iPhone could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPhone"

To authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes store, choose Store>Authorize This Computer.

    Next:

Another pop-up window comes up asking me to enter my Apple ID password for the Apple ID given. I do.

    Next:

Another pop-up says: "This computer is already authorized."  I hit "ok".

Then I try and sync again, but before It finishes I get the same pop-ups stating that I my computer is no longer authorized.

I am tempted to change my password but do not really think that is the problem.

Good evening, thanks for posting again with the details. I now have a better understanding of the issue. Please take a look at this Apple article, it explains the issue you are having and I believe it will help you. Let me know if it does, thanks...
