Ipad has a white faded large spot

My IPad screen has got a faded white spot right on the screen and basically covers the whole screen and ends about 1cm before the edge and also when I use an app and then exit from the app it shows a faded like picture from what was just on the screen. Would anyone happen to know how I can fix this at all or if I have to take it to a repair store?? This picture kind of shows the white screen plus its on camera right now but is showing the previous thing that was on it which was the apple logo and you can kind of see a faded home screen at the bottom. Someone please help?!?!
