My "audio out" port (headphone port) does not seem to work. It stops speakers on macbook from working but does not make sound. I tried several headphones and orbit sets but no luck. Any advice?
MacBook Pro, iOS 8.4.1
When I plug in a device to the headphone port, it turns off the volume in the Menu Bar (and also in iTunes if I have it running).
All I have to do is turn those volume controls back on, and I have sound coming from my external speakers.
I hope this is as simple a fix for you as it is for me.
