TWC NETGEAR CM500 Connectivity Issue

Here are the steps on solving the issue with Netgear CM500 not allowing Time Capsule (with integrated Airport) access Internet on Time Warner Cable Internet.

1) Disconnect both Netgear CM500 and Time Capsule for about 5mins

2) Reconnect Netgear CM500 first

3) Reconnect Time Capsule AFTER Netgear CM500 has all connection lights on (except for the Network light as Time Capsule is not power on yet)

4) Go to your Utilities > AirPort Utility > Select your Time Capsule > Edit (button) > Network (tab) > Select DHCP and NAT (Router Mode)

5) Select Network Option button

6) You may set DHCP Lease to 3 days (as its standard in some LAN environments)

7) Select 192.168 (IPv4 DHCP Range)

8) Click Save button

9) Click Update button

At this point the Time Capsule and Internet Icons will refresh.

Note: If you have over 100Mbps connection via Time Warner Cable, then you may have the ability to configure your Network Radio Signal to 5GHz. You would simply select your Time Capsule > Edit > Wireless (tab) > Wireless Options Button; then just enable by checking on 5Ghz network name box.

Good Luck!
