I own a 15" MB pro. It has been through many years of deployments and use with me, the trackpad has went haywire and clicks on stuff, and moves stuff all the time. I bought a Magic Trackpad to replace it,yet I need to disable the one on my MB Pro?

I own a 15" MB pro. It has been through many years of deployments and use with me, the trackpad has went haywire and clicks on stuff, and moves stuff all the time. It opens things and keeps going to the point to where I have to turn off my laptop and restart it. I bought a Magic Trackpad to replace it, yet I need to figure out how to disable the one on my MB Pro to stop the one on my actual MB from continuing to ruin my computer. Any help??

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)
