I just updated to 10.10.5 and lost scrolling in Magic Mouse.
Also, when I push the Volume up/down on the Bluetooth keyboard, it shows my Mac's desktop.
The Bluetooth icon in the toolbar is showing a squigly line and says bluetooth isn't available at the moment.
I have a brand new (with sh*tty battery life...) Macbook Pro.
Getting a little tired of Apple's shoddy performance lately...
im having the same problem too!!
help please.
the keyboard volume icons not working properly its behaving weirdly too!
macbook pro 3 months old. brand new!
Having the same problem.
Really annoying.
Also, in my wireless keyboard, the F3 button (showing all open pages. I don't remember the name of it), doesn't work.
Restarting seems to work, looks like an issue that occurs directly after install. If doesn't work straight away, try disconnecting and reconnecting your bluetooth.
Yes.
After restarting (again) everything is back to normal.
The gestures on the magic mouse and also the wireless keyboard.
Thanks !
I have tried all the options of disconnecting/re-connecting bluetooth, Re-booting (many times) but still no success. It doesn't work for any of the accounts on the machine. If there weren't so many people raising the issues I would have been convinced by now that it is a hardware issue. Any other ideas? Has anyone else tried all of the above and still having problems with 10.10.5 and magic mouse scrolling?
@zonocoburger I've tried all the above trouble shooting steps and still can't get the scrolling to work on my Magic Mouse. 10.10.5. I've heard that upgrading to El Capitan fixes the issue, but I'm not allowed to upgrade yet on my work computer.
I heard that resetting the SMC and PRAM works for some of the issues described above:
Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support
How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
It didn't, however, help me with the missing scrolling/swiping on my magic mouse. 😟 Has anyone here found a solution? I am starting to believe that Yosemite's magic mouse drive is rotten, but IT doesn't allow to upgrade to El Capitan yet.
Thanks
A couple of years back I upgraded my desktop to Yosemite then recently I upgraded my Mac Book Pro to El Capitan 10.11.4. Both times I lost my ability to scroll. Both times I just went into System Preferences, chose General, under Show Scroll Bars I chose "Always". This solved problem both times. Scroll bar was on everything once more.
