Q: How do you install windows 10
Here is my situation.
I have a 2014 macbook pr with osx el capitan. I have the latest update installed, but i am unable to get any version of windows to install.
I have followed the steps with boot camp multiple times using both the windows 8 (not 8.1) as well as windows 10 (64 bit that i downloaded from microsoft).
When i do windows 10, I get an error that it could not be installed on the 80 gig partition that was created and tells me to go to the log... which i have not done yet, but i think tells me that there is something wrong with the partition.
I think it has to do with the fact that the disk is not ntfs, but i have also used the console to convert that to ntfs.
When I do windows 8, it tells me that i can't install because the disk is GPT, which makes sense.
I have done a clean install of osx from yosemite to el capitan, while trying the different versions of windows using a 32 gig usb stick. Im pretty familiar with the process of doing boot camp before, but not with windows 8. or 10.
I do not want to wipe and covert my had drive to mbr to install windows 8.
anyways, any help would be appreciated.... instead of LMGT or use a virtual machine...
