cant install iTunes on windows7

Hello all,

recently acquired an iPod touch 4th generation and having trouble installing iTunes.

I have a windows7 32bit. Tried a few things and keep getting different error msgs.

The last place I tried to download from was hippofile, http://filehippo.com/download_itunes_32/tech/ where it started to install it and then stopped and said I needed windows7 or newer to install the program... which I have triple checked that I do in fact have.

What do I do? Im frustrated at my first apple product already :/

Thanks in advance! Lana.

Hi Alex,

tried that download a few times. Most of them time it wouldn't download properly, so I changed the file type it was automatically saved as from 'binary' to 'all files'. When I did that the files downloads. Then I open the installer and the error msg comes up - iTunes requires that your computer is running windows7 or newer. I am running windows 7! Whats the answer??

Thanks! Lana

Hi Joe,

Yes the error msg when I download the file says "iTunes requires that your computer is running windows7 or newer". I followed the link that you pasted for me, and I did have a lot of updates to install as I just had my computer repaired, but this didnt help. Post-updates I tried to install it again and the same error msg came up.

Thanks for your help,

Lana.
