Finder Organization

Previously, when I added an item to a folder, it could be found at the bottom of the finder window. I've just updated Yosemite to the latest version and now new items are located at the top. I would prefer if it went back to the way it was. I have tried organizing them by date added, but they are still in the same order because they were added on the same date, I guess. I don't know. I would like finder to just behave the way it did before. This is confusing and I am having trouble locating items because everything is reversed.
