Battery low straight out of the box?
Hi. My battery was low straight out of the box and I need to connect the wire in order to continu the initial setup. Is this normal? The guy at the store told me it will be charge. Thanks

When you first take it out of the box? Yes, absolutely.
My personal experience is that Apple devices come with somewhere between a third charge and half charge. As others have said it's a comon preventative measure.
To condition the battery and the battery charge indicator, it's wise to charge the device ot full capacity as soon as you can
Frankly, I am not sure why this is an issue. If it doesn't charge up in a reasonable period or discharges too fast, you would have a defective device that you could return. But, the charge out of the box? That can be fixed real quick by attaching the charger.

It will have *a* charge, but highly unlikely to be fully charged. I have yet to purchase any battery powered device by any company that came fully charged.
Apple does not ship devices with a full charge because it is detrimental to leave them in that state for a prolonged period of time.
Hi and thanks you for the answers.

Yes - you also got a charger - use it

all batteries are chemical processes they all decharge over time no matter if used or not
depending on the time since the battery was charged before shipping it will always be less charged
The requirement to connect the Watch to the charger is part of the setup procedure and is not an indication of a problem with your Watch
