Boot Camp Error. Yosemite 10.10.5, Windows 8.1

Hello world, hoping you can help me out!

I am trying to use the Boot Camp Assistant to Create a Bootable USB Drive for Windows Installation.

I've downloaded a 90-day trial for Windows 8.1 and moved it to a 16 GB USB [Format: MS-DOS (FAT32)]. My iMac is OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 (21.5 inch, late 2013).

This computer doesn't have a disc drive and I can't find a download for 8.1 anywhere. So if the 90 day trial is the issue, can someone please tell me where to download/buy the full version somewhere?

This will not work if you are using a single USB which is the source of the ISO and also the destination for the Windows installer. You can copy the ISO from the USB to the desktop so the destination USB can be erased and formatted.

Almost, new error message. "Your bootable USB drive could not be created" Boot Camp only supports Windows 7 or later installation on this platform. Please use an ISO file for Windows 7 or later installation.

Do you have an ISO which is mixed 32-bit and 64-bit Installer?

No, I downloaded the 64-bit 90 day trial:

9600.17050.WINBLUE_REFRESH.140317-1640_X64FRE_ENTERPRISE_EVAL_EN-US-IR3_CENA_X64 FREE_EN-US_DV9.ISO

I also have a lot more options when I create a New Image.

The instructions only mention the Encryption (none) and Image Format (DVD/CD master). Am I supposed to change the other options as well?

This is confusing. The file you have is already an ISO. You do not need to create another image, unless this is an example of the options.

Do you have a retail disk of W8 or W8.1 that you can test with? The trial disks are unlikely to work. BCA will try and match signatures with what it considers to be allowed disks.

I don't have a disc, i was just hoping to download it online. My computer doesn't have a disc drive so i'm trying to find a solution to run windows without buying a PC. Haha - I can't find full Windows 8 to download from Microsoft, I could only find the trial
