Mac Mini A1176: Possible Airport Antenna Damage

Ever since, I re-connected the airport antenna of my mac mini to the motherboard, which by the way was extremely delicate, I have had poor connection speeds, just on the mini. I'm wondering if a bad connection of the airport antenna would do this.

Also, the connection of the airport antenna to the motherboard is very loose, and fragile, would it be advisable to use some sticky tape to ensure a good connection between the two is made?
