Q: iPad Air 2 screen very dark/dull on full brightness.

I Have my air 2 on full brightness but the screen is very dark/dull, much darker than my old 4 and my iPhone 6.

any help would be much appreciated.

I am running 8.4.1

iPad Air, iOS 8.4.1

Hi speedway44,

I see from your post that your iPad's screen is appearing quite dim, especially when compared to your other iOS devices. In order to get this issue resolved, I'd like you to please follow through the steps outlined below.

If your screen is too dim, too bright, or you see only faint images

Try to adjust the brightness. If the screen doesn’t respond when you adjust the brightness, open several apps to make sure it’s not an issue with only one app.

If you have a screen protector, try removing it. Try removing your case if it includes a screen protector.

If you see the issue in multiple apps, restart your device.

If restarting doesn’t fix the issue, restore your device.

If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.

I took the following steps on my iPad 2:

Try to adjust the brightness. If the screen doesn’t respond when you adjust the brightness, open several apps to make sure it’s not an issue with only one app. - This step did not work.
If you have a screen protector, try removing it. Try removing your case if it includes a screen protector. - This step did not work.
If you see the issue in multiple apps, restart your device. - This step did not work.
If restarting doesn’t fix the issue, restore your device. - Three times got stuck on download.
Selected Settings, General, scrolled down to and selected Reset, selected Reset All Settings - This step worked.
