Driver issues Windows 10 on A1181 (no headphone playback devices)

You have a 13-in Late 2007 Macbook. From System requirements to install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support, the highest you can go is Windows 7 32-bit. There are no drivers for Windows 10 for your Mac based on Use Windows 10 on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support. Your Mac is also not in the official list of supported W10 Macs.

You can download the drivers from the W7 link and install them with Administrative privileges and compatibility set to W7 when install specific drivers by hand. You may still encounter errors.

EFI will not expose Audio properly. Only CSM-BIOS will do it correctly till you get a Late 2013 or later model. The Ubuntu lspci is correct. Windows in EFI (especially W10) is unsupported and unlikely to work. There are no drivers for W10. The Cirrus devices are embedded as you can see in my output on W8.1 in BIOS in a 2012 MBP.

Your Windows is W10, but OSX is Snow Leopard. The discrepancy in time between the two disallows downloading appropriate BC drivers.

BCA = BootCamp Assistant.

From OSX Terminal, post the output of the following Terminal commands

diskutil list

diskutil cs list

sudo gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk0

sudo fdisk /dev/disk0

The "sudo" commands will prompt for your password, and it will not be echoed back. You may also see a warning about improper use of "sudo" and potential data loss due to "abuse" of the command.

I have a 2008 MBA (1,1) which has a GMA X3100. If you have an EFI Installation, audio is unlikely to work. Are you willing to try a BIOS/MBR installation?

Please try the legacy BIOS (non-EFI) method. It is a pain, but that is the best possible solution for your specific Mac.

You can run msinfo32 and find out the details of the devices the OS can see. You still may not see the sound card. BIOS (and CSM-BIOS) will expose the card correctly.

On the OS X side, look in System Report -> Audio and if you can see the Product ID/Vendor ID, then Registry can provide details.

I know this post is old, but I did install Windows 10 on my A1181 and got the audio working, with Realtek drivers.

Just download the Boot Camp on Apples website: https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1720?locale=da_DK

Then when downloaded navigate to \BootCamp5.1.5640\BootCamp\Drivers\RealTek and run the RealtekSetup.

When it's done reboot and the audio should work just fine.

BY default, your Mac will use BIOS/MBR installation. If you choose EFI Boot manually, then it will follow your directions. Use BCA and do not interrupt the installation, which will be a BIOS/MBR installation.

We can verify that is a MBR/BIOS installation by looking BCA Partitioning used.

This is not normal. Most likely you have Cirrus drivers. Please try to manually install them and test.

As far as I know it was efi.
