I tried buying a book last night on my iPad. It's the first time I've tried buying an iBook. It started downloading but then the progress bar never changed. At all. I restarted, rebooted, logged out, logged in, deleted all my other free books and pdfs and still nothing (well, worse than nothing, I have to rebuild what I previously had on there). I gave up and went to my Mac.
Found the book in my account, went to download it, and it's ticking along at maybe 20kb/sec. The book is ~960MB, and right now it's telling me two days to complete. It's not my ISP connection, because I was able to simultaneously download a 2GB movie from iTunes in less than 10 minutes. I can stream Netflix right now, I can download songs from Apple Music in a couple of seconds. It's not my computer (tricked out 2014 5k iMac). Meanwhile the iBook download creeps along.
I let it go for 8 hours today, didn't even get to halfway before it errors out.
I guess I need a refund and I'll order the paper copy from Amazon unless you guys know any tricks to download a book faster.
