Q: Issues: highlighting to delete or replace text
Hello everyone.
I've had a mac for 7 years now and this has never happened to me. I'm having issues highlighting to delete or replace text on any program. The thing goes like this: I have a text I want to modify, say "I hate my MacBook Pro", and I want to replace "hate" with "love". When I highlight "hate" and hit delete, it actually deletes the word "hate" but the space that was highlighted is still highlighted so if I were to type "love" now I would delete " my ".
This also happens when I just want to replace a text. When I highlight the word "hate" and immediately type "love", the ammount of space that was highlighted will still be highlighted after I'm done writing "love". So if I were to type fast (which is usually the case) it would result in me deleting the space that was still highlighted.
This issue used to happen to me back when I was using Windows ages ago. It is really frustrating since I have to write a lot.
I'm sorry if my explanation is confusing. Thanks in advance!
BTW, I don't recall this happening after installing or updating anything.
