Aug 20, 2015 7:10 PM in response to AAlsaighby BobHarris,My guess is that the Mac firmware cannot find the normal boot partition, it cannot find the recovery partition, and is now trying to connect with an Apple boot server over the internet (or that is my guess).
If my guess is even close to being correct, then it would appear your the SSD in your Macbook Air is either broken, or had the boot partition and recovery partition data damaged.
If you have an Apple Store near by, make a Genius Bar appointment for a free evaluation. After the evaluation they will tell you how much it will cost to repair. If no Apple Store near by, then an Authorized Apple Repair facility.
You can also contact Apple Support via <http://Apple.com/Support>. At the bottom of that page is a "Contact" button if you wish to call them.
Again, this is all a guess on my part.
