I tried restoring it with itunes but got error 1439. I also tried running a hard drive diagnostic to see what was wrong and it didn't do it, just said said "error". I have no idea what to do. What can I do to fix it?

I've tried all those and none of them worked. Is there anything else I can try?
I've done that as well and all it said was "error".
I did it and it didn't seem to work. I mean, I'm not sure how hard to hit it and I don't want to do anymore damage. If I take it to an apple store can they fix it? Like replace the hard drive or something? I'm so disappointed because it's not even that old.
I've no idea what an Apple Store might charge for a repair/replacement, or if they are even able to provide that service for the classic now. There are third parties than can do it for a fee. Or you could try opening up the device following one of the many videos on YouTube that explain how it is done so you can try to reseat the HDD connection cable, in the hopes that that is all that is needed.
