2'+ 30-pin connector cables for Apple iPhone 6+?

Hello.

Does anyone know if there is a longer (e.g., 2/two feet) 30-pin connector cables for Apple iPhone 6+ (e.g., https://www.mytrendyphone.eu/images/Lightning_Apple_30-pin_Adapter_Cable-iPad_4_ iPhone_5_iPod_Touch_5G-White_26112012-p.… ) from local retail stores (Apple, Best Buy, Fry's Electronics, Staples, Office Max, Radio Shack, Costco, etc.)? The cables, from Apple, are too short. 😟

Thank you in advance. 🙂

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.4.1, Verizon Wireless Carrier

Are you looking to extend the cable in order to plug it into a car with an integrated 30 pin connector? I needed to do that so I purchased the standard Apple Lightning to 30 pin adapter and then bought a Lightning Cable Extender by CableJive. It works pretty well and since my 30 pin adapter is hidden in the glove box, all the adapter cable mess is hidden away and I just have the black extension cable coming out of the box.

This doesn't help if you have an older car that lacks a USB interface, like in my case, a 2010 Mercedes ML350. It comes with a 30 pin connector that would plug directly into an iPhone or iPod of that era but is not helpful if you are running newer devices. And it locks it into the glovebox since the cable is only inches long.

Exactly!! 😟

Yes, if you are trying to go into a built in 30 pin connector with a current iPhone you would need the Apple lightning to 30 pin adapter. They make two models.

This one is very short.

And this one is .2 meters (just under 8 inches)

I happen to have the .2 meter one as I had it in my previous car which had an aftermarket iPhone adapter that I had installed which also had the 30 pin plug.

This adapter plugs into your existing car 30 pin plug, the lightning end goes into the phone. If it is long enough for you you don't need anything else. I wanted to be able to interact with my phone so I got the lightning extension cable detailed above.

Apple has a 2 meter (6.5 foot) cable, http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MD819AM/A/lightning-to-usb-cable-2-m?fnode=2de bd7c637fecde72910968c7bcf6a80608c0dedec3… however that is the longest one. And the cable for the iPhone 6 Plus is not a 30-pin cable.

But that has an USB end. 😟

Yes, and no where in your post did you mention that you were using an older car with a hard wired connection. Sorry for wasting our time.

The one issue that has been seen with using an adapter for going from a 30-pin to Lightning is that some vehicle systems will not support it. They have difficulty reading the device. While the problems that I have seen are for vehicles with USB to 30 pin cables from the manufacturer and then adding a lightning adapter manifests the problem, I would just caution one to be careful when using an adapter to go from 30 pin to lightning. It could cause a problem. Good luck.

I did have a link of the photo(graph) as an example though to be a longer version.
