Q: iPhone water damage, can i still get a replacement?
So my iPhone 6 had a dead pixel, i arranged an ERS with apple and the iPhone was just dispatched yesterday morning (it was supposed to arrive on Tuesday, very late.), anyway i was told by apple that i should remove my screen protector, case and disable find my iPhone, i had a new case and screen protector waiting for my new phone so i didn't open it and it would've prevented the damage since it covers all in inputs unless opened, i was on the phone and the phone slipped and landed right in my cup a few days before i would've received my replacement, so i cancelled my ERS explaining what happened or else id have to pay a lot of money. so my question is, if my iPhone still powers on and i can show them the dead pixel will they replace it? i understand by EU law any hardware issues that its shipped with have to be replaced by law, but is this now VOID because of my accident? on my behalf i can express that if the ONE dead pixel was due to water damage, it wouldn't be just one, for a drop of water to get to the screen would cause more damage than just a single pixel, thoughts and advice please! this is a very sticky situation and i hope apple will be understanding
iPhone 6, iOS 8.4

You are lucky one if it still turns off after the contact with water. Every iPhone has the indicator of water damage. If specialists will check it (and realise that iPhone is after the contact with water) they may refuse the replacement. Liquid damage to iPhone or iPod isn't covered by warranty - Apple Support
Anyway your best option is to take the phone to the Apple Store to appraise the level of damage. Good luck.
