Hi Nigel

If you are experiencing interference between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, try changing channels on your wireless network.

When reset, some base stations (eg Apple AirPort Express, AirPort Time Capsule) automatically try to configure themselves to use whatever channel has the least interference.

Other devices that operate in the 2.4GHz bandwidth may also cause interference (eg microwave ovens, baby monitors, cameras, neighbours' devices).

Note that Apple Watch can only connect to 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks.

Hi Jonathan

Thanks for you reply.

I have reset 'network setting'

I have changed the channel and the router then reboots itself.- Still the same.

I have set static Ip for all devices as there was an ip conlict on the apple watch (used 'fing' to help).- still the same

The bluetooth when attached to apple watch causes a drop in wifi on iphone by up to 50%

I tried to replicate the promblem on a BT hub at my mothers house but the speedtest was the same on iphone & ipad mini with apple watch on or off. > 35mb DL

I did contact support and they ran a test and said my iphone had a software fault but if it works on the BT hub then I'd rather not factory reset iphone.

Any other ideas please?

thank you

NIgel

ps

IF I bought two airport express, turned wireless off on hub and created one 'apple' network for entire house would that make a diffetence?

Hi Nigel

If your iPhone has a software fault, it would seem sensible to try and remedy that and then re-test for your original issue.

1. Backup your iPhone:

- via iCloud (encrypted as standard) or

- via iTunes on your computer (choose to "Encrypt iPhone backup", so the backup includes saved passwords, Wi-Fi settings, website history and Health data).

2. Erase all content and settings on your iPhone, restoring it to factory settings:

3. Restore your iPhone from backup:
