Aug 21, 2015 8:25 AM in response to Gigster99by nislim,Hi Ryan,
Yes I've checked everything from there many times and it is set up as like what it is supposed to be, and still no detection of AirDrop.
The only thing I suspect is that my Macbook Air is the mid-2011 version.
But is there an explanation why I can't AirDrop even after being able to install Yosemite?

Aug 21, 2015 8:31 AM in response to nislimby Gigster99,No, that should not be a problem, because I have that same model and have no problems. Obvioauly, you can try restarting the device, but other than that I am not sure. I will continue looking for a possible solution to your problem. Sorry!
Beat Regards,
Ryan

Aug 21, 2015 10:04 PM in response to Gigster99by nislim,Hmm you mean you have no problems using AirDrop on MacBook Air 2011, and with OS X Yosemite, transferring files from iPhone to MBA?
Although I read from somewhere that AirDrop only works from Mac to Mac, and not Mac to iPhone or iPhone to Mac - is this the case for you?

Aug 21, 2015 10:17 PM in response to nislimby sberman,The article Gagster99 sent you explains under "System Requirements" that in order to transfer files between a Mac and iOS, the Mac must be a 2012 model or later.
